Kevin Perron is president of the new nonprofit overseeing the Upper Valley’s 38 town listservs.
Transitioning to a new email domain, and the rapid steady increase of emails triggered us to get flagged with a major spam detection organization. The rate of emails is what really got us flagged. In 1 week, we were sending about 50K emails to over 22K subscribers. For a new domain, that is something that seems suspicious. As much as we worked to get all the official information in line, forming a non-profit in under a month, that was not enough to keep us out of the spam monitors. We have been listed as spam, delisted, and relisted a couple of times. Currently we are getting emails to send, but plenty of major email providers are still blocking us. Even when the DNS blocking systems clear us, it takes time for the companies using their information to follow suit.
Here are some good email links so people can let us know their issues. We are very aware of them, but we also want to provide transparency and support to subscribers.
