41st Prouty: Today (July 8th) and Tomorrow (July 9th)

The 41st Prouty annual fundraiser for the Dartmouth Cancer Center kicks off today with the first leg of the 200-mile bicycle event known as The Ultimate.  Tomorrow, cyclists, walkers, rowers, and golfers—some 3000 participants in all—will come together to raise funds for critical, life-saving research and for patient and family support services at the Dartmouth Cancer Center.  It takes a village, and in this case, an entire river valley to present such a massive event, and we could not do it without the steadfast support of our community and the good will of residents from the Kearsarge/Lake Sunapee area in the south to Woodsville and Wells River in the north and from Warren, NH to the east and Barnard, VT to the west. Be on the lookout for participants on the roads and sidewalks of the Upper Valley and on the river (the Connecticut) and golf course (at Eastman in Grantham, NH), and know how very much we appreciate your support of our efforts to bring an end to cancer. Thank you for helping to make The Prouty™ northern New England’s largest, family-friendly fundraising event. We’re all in to end cancer and we look forward to seeing you along the Prouty routes!
