In regard to your report concerning a large “boom” emanating from the vicinity of the Satellite Tracking Facility in New Boston NH. I grew up in that area and hiked around that facility quite often. It is located at the site of the WWII practice bombing range, Joe English Hill. At that time, the area was littered with exploded and unexploded ordinance, most of which was behind protective fencing but I recall finding unexploded aerial bombs protruding from the ground outside the fencing. When unexploded bombs were discovered, they were removed via controlled detonation, one of which I witnessed. This was in the 70’s but I would not be surprised to learn that noise was caused but such a controlled detonation.
The detonation of what were 100 lb and 500 lb 30 year old bombs (after an hour of clearing the vicinity with sirens and loud speaker announcements) would certainly have registered seismically, at least they did in my memory. Check it out, I can only imagine what a 2000 pounder would sound like. http://www.newbostonhistoricalsociety.com/joe.html

Did you hear a boom or feel shaking around 11:25 am yesterday? People in southern NH and as far north as Lebanon did, WMUR reports. Neither the USGS nor the Weston Observatory reports any earthquake and there was no official military plane activity over the area. But a Germany-based site, VolcanoDiscovery, does report an "unconfirmed earthquake or seismic-like event" 25 miles west of Nashua. There seem to have been a cluster of reports around New Boston, NH—near what is now the Space Force satellite tracking center. Space Force officials didn't respond to an NYT inquiry.
