Prescott writes: “This piece highlights the stories behind those organizing for Ukraine in the Upper Valley. With two years since Russia’s full-scale invasion and with aid packages for Ukraine halted in Congress, I wanted to see whether 1) The Upper Valley had also seen a drop in enthusiasm for support since February 2022 and 2) How Ukrainians have transitioned to close-knit Northern New England communities. This piece walks through the origins of the Ukrainian community in the Upper Valley, efforts at Dartmouth and in the Upper Valley after the full-scale invasion, and the reception of Ukranians in the Upper Valley organizing themselves.”
