Hans Williams, now 23, grew up in Norwich, went to Hanover High, spent lots of time with Tuck’s Rock Dojo compatriots, and became one of the key players in the knot of rising young musicians who’ve come out of the Upper Valley. Ari Morris talks to him about how growing up here rooted his music, how moving to New Orleans and its sprawling, everywhere-you-turn music scene has affected his songwriting, and one of his breakout songs, which helped him process the death by suicide of one of his college dorm floormates.

Ari Morris is a Dartmouth senior from Newbury Park, CA. This is one of a series of podcasts produced by Dartmouth students in Sophie Crane’s winter 2024 class at Dartmouth, “Tell Me A Story: An Introduction to Nonfiction Radio and Podcasting.”
